Ignore a URL
Hide scanner noise and intentional dead links without deleting the history.
Ignore is for paths you do not want in the working list: a security scanner probing /wp-admin, a campaign you retired on purpose, or a malformed URL that will never be a page.
What ignore does
- The path stays stored.
- New hits still increment.
- It leaves the default Open list.
- Filter status to Ignored when you want it back.
- You can add a note.
On the 404s page, select rows and choose Ignore. Mark resolved is separate: use that when you fixed the link that pointed here and do not want a redirect. Delete removes the 404Guard record. It does not delete a Shopify redirect.
Do not ignore a path that still gets human traffic from Google or from your own menus unless you have decided those visitors should keep seeing a 404.
